As with all of Alex Cameron’s — and indeed Jemima Kirke’s — work, the video for his latest single Studmuffin96 is sweet and bleak and brilliant.

Directed by and starring Kirke, the clip is a warped coming-of-age tale.

“A young woman is reunited with a man from her past [played by Cameron], and an attempt at romance ensues.

“But regardless of their efforts, their only common ground is a laundromat and a motel room”.

Check it out below, and make sure you catch Alex Cameron, and his formidable side-man Roy Molloy, when they tour Australia later this month.
