An innocent weatherman is receiving a stupendous amount of online abuse simply for having the name Andrew Tate.

Many social media users have accidentally mistaken weatherman Andrew Tate for disgraced influencer Andrew Tate.

The (non-weatherman) Andrew Tate is a kick boxer who formerly shared his strong opinions with his millions of followers on social media platforms. He accrued intense backlash for his misogynistic views, including claiming that women should bear responsibility for being sexually assaulted.

Andrew Tate was recently banned from Instagram, Facebook and Twitter over his spiteful views. However, poor old weatherman Andrew Tate has been bearing the brunt of the other Andrew Tate’s actions.

Weatherman Andrew Tate, who has the Twitter handle AndrewTateKLTV posted an informative post about the, well, weather, and received some hateful comments.

“Heavy rain (rates up to 2-3in/hr, locally over 3in/hr) are likely to impact portions of SE TX into W/NW LA through 5AM. Heavy rain from NE TX to the east will also be possible in areas already saturated from recent rain. Flash flooding will remain likely for these areas,” he wrote on the platform.

One user angrily responded to the weather update, saying; “You fucking wife beater”. Another cheekily tweeted at him, “You ruined my life… after watching you on the tickertock, my son beat my wife to death with the pack of frozen nuggies that she had refused to cook him.”

Fortunately, weatherman Andrew Tate saw the funny side of the mix up. He retweeted the popular reserve bro explaining meme, “ANDREW TATE KLTV (“unfortunate weather reporter”) IS NOT ANDREW TATE THE BOXER FROM TIKTOK.”
