Here’s your chance to win a pair of limited edition TMA-2 Ninja Tune Edition headphones – the world’s first recycled vinyl headphones, designed by Danish audio design company AIAIAI in collaboration with cult record label Ninja Tune.

To celebrate the release of these record-breaking headphones, we’re giving you the chance to win your very own pair of the $379 headphones. To be in the running, all it involves is a click of a button to sign up to the Tech Observer newsletter.

Just released at the end of April, the new TMA-2 Ninja Tune Edition headphones mark a new partnership between AIAIAI and Ninja Tune, bringing together the best in Danish audio design with the renowned UK record label behind artists including Hiatus Kaiyote, Sampa The Great, Kelis, Little Dragon, Run The Jewels and many more.

United by a shared focus on environmental responsibility and sustainable design, the collaboration between AIAIAI and Ninja Tune represents a joint commitment to “doing things better”, in terms of their impacts on the world, said AIAIAI co-founder Frederik Jørgensen.

“Since the launch of AIAIAI in 2010 we’ve been committed to doing things better. Sustainability has since been a key aspect of our design and development process and we still believe we’re only just getting started. Informed by a heritage of Scandinavian design we create products far beyond trend-driven aesthetics, with sustainable modular functionality and recycled materials we extend the longevity of every product and create less waste for the planet – designed to last,” he said.

Ninja Tune’s Senior Designer Joe Durnan noted, “This collaboration is not the final answer but more so an example of how working towards greener solutions can lead to innovative and exciting results. This project is an opportunity to continue to shine a light on an increasingly pressing global issue.”

From the official release:

“The TMA-2 Ninja Tune Edition builds upon AIAIAI’s modular design ethos and a shared desire for the collaboration to focus on experimentation, as well as their ongoing commitment to sustainable products of the highest quality. Building on this modular approach and a vision of doing something meaningful together, the natural progression was to experiment with Ninja Tune’s main resource – vinyl – which has been used to make the TMA-2 Ninja Tune Edition headphones’ speaker units.”

The limited edition headphones have a customised, detailed and rich sound representation based on AIAIAI’s Bio-Cellulose S05 drivers, and come with the choice of both on-ear and over-ear vegan leather cushions. A full charge will give you 20 hours of high-quality wireless audio via Bluetooth 5.0, making these sweet headphones a top choice for long listening sessions.

So if you’re keen to support a couple of companies commited to creating less waste for the planet, by providing you a world-first product made with recycled vinyl, with added stylish design and quality audio output, this giveaway is for you.
