Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. We’ve all done absurd, petty things to upset our ex post-breakup. Whilst some of us opt for sharing confessional Taylor Swift Red cuts on our Instagram story, others opt for sending a literal truck full of onions to former lovers.

One woman in China sent 1,000 kilograms of onions to her ex-boyfriend in Zibo, following reports that he cheated and broke up with her. It’s truly one of the most bonkers cases of revenge I’ve ever witnessed and quite frankly, a style I respect.

The delivery was accompanied by a note that simply read, ‘I’ve cried for three days, now it’s your turn.’

This is a David Fincher wet dream, this tale is simply gagging for an Atticus Ross-penned score.

“I heard from my friends that he was not upset at all after breaking up,” she told local Chinese media, via  Daily Mail. “I spent three days at home crying. I was so heart-broken.

“So, I ordered a tonne of onions to his home. I’ve got money. I wanted him to know the taste of tears.”

I ordered a tonne of onions to his home
I’ve got money
I wanted him to know the taste of tears

In that moment, Rupi Kaur’s career was obliterated.

To be honest, if there are any ex’s of mine out there that are reading this and are still harbouring resentment I beg of you, follow this woman’s footsteps. There is truly nothing in this world that would upset me more than a tonne of onions. I would truly hate to have an endless supply of sumac and tabouleh. It would be literal nightmare.

Under no circumstances should you entertain the idea of ordering a bounty of groceries to my door. There’s no universe in which I accidentally blew my monthly food allowance on Click Frenzy sales. You would be doing me the ultimate disservice.
