The Melbourne Cup is officially cancelled. We finally have a real reason to put on our chicest Windsor Smith heels and slosh down a lashing of Yellowglen. A video has emerged of a woman who does an extremely good job of running and jumping like a horse.

Ayla Kirstine is a Norwegian woman who has mastered the art of cantering like an equine. It’s equal parts wholesome and jarring.

Kirstine has refined her skills to the point where she can literally jump over hurdles on all fours. It is nothing short of batshit insane and I absolutely love everything about it.

“When I was 4 years old I loved dogs and wanted to be a dog myself,” Kirstine revealed in an interview with INSIDER. “So when I knew I liked horses I only used what I had learned.”

I am thrilled to announce that humans jumping like a horse is an actual thing. A whirlwind google has revealed that humans have been jumping like horses for years. I have so many questions. Is there a community for these people? is this what happens to all the horse girls you went to school with? why?
