Yothu Yindi & The Treaty Project are headlining a massive free festival this weekend.

Homeground celebrates First Nations culture from around the world, and happens across both days at the Opera House Forecourt.

Performing include Yothu Yindi & The Treaty Project; ‘electric soul’ duo Electric Fields; contemporary Canadian folk singer Irish Mythen; Thursday Island’s first Hip Hop artist Mau Power; R&B/Soul singer Radical Son, PNG musician/producer Airileke; Kahl Wallis, lead singer-songwriter for The Medics; and Tibetan singer-songwriter Tenzin Choegyal.

In addition there will be interactive weaving and Maori healing workshops, tours revealing the Indigenous history of Bennelong, a Black Arts Market, food incorporating native indigenous ingredients + much more.

The whole thing kicks off at noon on Saturday.
