The lads will be piling into Utopia Records tomorrow to hang out for a bit.
Sure, Sydney fans may have caught Dunies’ killer set at Laneway Festival this past weekend, but now they’ve got a chance to actually meet the boys in person and nab a copy of the new album at the same time.
Revealing the surprise show on socials this evening, Dunies didn’t give us a huge amount of details, just some very clear instructions to go along with the photographic masterwork below.
Thankfully Uropia Records themselves gave a bit more info with their “instore alert”, revealing the 4:30pm start time – saddening a few fans who’ll be stuck at work, and possibly a few stuck in detention for blazing up behind the cricket nets.
“Support Aussie bands everyone says, get behind the locals is all we ever hear…” it begins. “Well, here you go Bludgers and Bludgettes of Girt By Sea: DUNE RATS WEDNESDAY ARVO INSTORE AT Utopia Records 4.30PM TOMORROW.”
A pretty colourful description follows for anyone unfamiliar with the trio, as well as the “metalled-up” version of the Dunies’ logo, but the main thrust of the thing is: get your arse down to Utopia tomorrow and get a signed copy of The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit – possibly for free, if you’re one of the first through the door – and maybe even win a skateboard too.
Not 100% certain they’ll be playing any songs mind you, but should be a grand time either way – deets below.
Dunies head to Utopia Records at 511 Kent St from 4:30 to 5:30 on Wednesday Feb 8 – don’t miss out.
