The nation wept when beloved Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke had passed away. Hawke devotees now have an opportunity to cherish the memory of Bob forever, as a trove of his precious mementoes go up for auction later this month.

The Bob Hawke and  Blanche d’Alpuget Mementos Curiosities Art and Design Collection will take place over two days on August 24 and 25 in the former Northbridge home of the late former prime minister and his wife Blanche d’Alpuget before it is escorted to Paddington RSL and put under the hammer.

There will be artworks, mementoes and furniture up for grabs, but most importantly, you’ll be able to cop a taste of Hawkie’s very own booze. As Domain reports, there are a coupla bottles of Penfolds Grange floating around (200-$300), bottles of Moutai ($200-$400), and a bottle of Bob Hawke Vintage Port ($300 to $500). It really is the best way to remember our beloved king of the frothy ones.

The most expensive item up for grabs is an artwork by Euan Macleod, Lone Figure in Gully, which is predicted to go for anywhere between $14,000 to $18,000,

“It is pretty exciting for us to be entrusted with the house of a former PM. I think people are curious about what was dear to his heart. We will be selling his desk and a lot of personal items given to him when he was prime minister,” auctioneer Andrew Shapiro shared.

The longest-serving Labor prime minister passed away in May. He was 89.
