Not one to let a global pandemic of unprecedented proportions rain on their parade, the Royal Easter Show has made 12 sets of showbags available for sale at Woolies outlets across the state.
It’s huge news for citizens and the Easter Show alike, with the cancellation of this year’s event due to the health crisis resulting in an estimated $250 million revenue loss.
Of course, if you don’t have the time to get to Woolies and pick yourself up some goodies then you can also have them delivered to your house, but why wouldn’t you be the first in line to pick up a showbag from aisle 4?
The Sydney Royal Easter Show isn’t just for kids
For just $30 you can add a bag of Bakugan, Barbie, Friends, Hatchimals, Harry Potter, Hot Wheels, LOL, Paw Patrol, Peter Rabbit, PJ Masks, Pokémon or Stranger Things theme to your next grocery shop, saving you time, energy and all the stress that comes with a day at the show.
Watch: The heart-wrenching moment the Easter Show gets cancelled
“With familiar traditions more important than ever during this challenging time, we wanted to do something special for those that have been left disappointed by the Sydney Royal Easter Show’s cancellation,” said Woolies General Manager Michael Mackenzie.
“We are pleased our customers will still be able to purchase these showbags in our stores, and hope it can continue to bring a little bit of joy to family homes over the Easter weekend.”
Picking up some showbags or having them delivered might be your best bet this easter long-weekend, with a massive police blitz set to catch people leaving the house without a reasonable excuse.

Still, the light at the end of the tunnel might be approaching sooner than we think, given Australia’s positive course against COVID-19, achieved mainly through social distancing around the country.
