Newtown legends of the piss Young Henrys have unveiled their first collaboration of 2021, a signature beer designed in collaboration with folk heroes Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys.
Dubbed the ‘Bowlo Bitter‘, the new brew will be available in kegs exclusively at select venues. To celebrate the new Young Henrys beer and the spirit of all things ‘Bowlo’, Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys will be hitting some of the most beloved bowling clubs in NSW later this month.
Straight from the horses mouth, the ‘Bowlo Bitter’ has been described as a “thirst-quenching beauty” with “subtle grassy overtones.” The brew was inspired by the band’s unwavering love for the local bowlo, there’s a certain kind of untapped magic born at a bowlo, one that feels too extramundane to describe. Why attempt to encapsulate its glory with words when you can simply drink to it.
The tour will kick off in Newcastle on Thursday, January 21st, with support from James Thomson, Caitlin Harnett & the Pony Boys will then head north to Bangalow Bowlo in Byron Bay with support from Jollee on Friday, January 22nd, Wombarra Bowlo with Lady Lyon before they head home to Petersham Bowlo on Saturday January 30th for one last shindig with support from Papa Pilko and the Binrats.
2020 was a scorcher of a year for Caitlin Harnett & the Pony Boys who picked up the honour of “Best Live Act in NSW” at the Nation Live Music Awards. We all deserve a little live music in our lives after the great drought of 2020. Find out more information below.
