Iconic Aussie brewery Young Henrys has released the newest edition of their limited time tinnies, ‘From Where You’d Guava Be’.

As of Monday, November 16th, beer aficionados and newbies alike can get their hands on the limited edition summer-themed tinnie.

‘From Where You’d Guava Be’ is the second flavour in the ‘B-Side’ range from Young Henrys, in which brewers experiment with slightly wackier beer flavours.

It follows the release of ‘Dark Sour of the Moon,’ their alcoholic tribute to Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon.

‘From Where You’d Guava Be’ is described as a passionfruit and guava sour that balances both the sweetness of German Pilsner and wheat malts and the tartness of tropical fruits.

Young Henrys Head Brewer Jesse Searls explained that the beer was surprisingly complex to create due to the intricacies involved.

“Whilst a super sessionable beer to drink, it was a pretty complex brewing process, with multiple fruit injections and intricacies in order to achieve the flavour and aroma we wanted,” he said.

Meanwhile, Brewer Andre Keller revealed that it was a no brainer to create a sour, given how well they compliment fruit flavours.

“The idea of making a sour started when a mate gave to me some interesting fruit purées samples and sours are the best kind of beer style to play with fruits, adding the fact that they are super refreshing beers and summer is knocking on the door,” he said.

Above all, it already seems safe to say that ‘From Where You’d Guave Be’ is set to become one of the go-to tinnies of summer 2021.

“I’m most looking forward to drinking an ice cold tinnie of this in my shorts and sunnies on a hot summer’s day at the beach or park,” said Searls.

So if you’re keen to get the party started this weekend, then you can get your hands on ‘From Where You’d Guava Be’ at select bottles and venues, the online store or the Young Henrys Tasting Bar.
