Ray Lawler’s classic Summer Of The Seventeenth Doll is set to show at Glen Street Theatre this May.

The widely renowned story of post-World War II Australia is celebrating its 60-year anniversary of being shown in theatres.

The play tells the tale of two cane cutters from Queensland who share a holiday with two barmaids in suburban Melbourne as they deal with the throes of life. Artistic director of the State Theatre Company of South Australia, Geordie Brookman, will be bringing the classic to Sydney’s shores over its six-day run.

You can catch the show at Glen Street Theatre between Tuesday May 19 and Sunday May 24. Grab your tickets here.
