Battle Of Waterloo is described by playwright Kylie Coolwell as a “love letter to her community”.

The play focuses on a community bound by humanity, dignity and love.

Amongst the dispossession and loss the community is trying to overcome, a young budding fashion designer, Cassie, has her life turned upside down when her boyfriend returns home after three years in prison. The strain this puts on Cassie’s relationship with her family pushes her to question whether she will stay and fight for those she loves, or run away from it all.

A stunning debut for Kylie Coolwell,Battle Of Waterloo is both funny and fierce, tough and tender. The STC production will be directed by Sarah Goodes and feature Shari Sebbens and Luke Carroll.

Battle Of Waterloo will play at the Wharf 1 Theatre from Monday June 1 – Saturday June 27.
