The Art Gallery of NSW have just unveiled an exciting new mixed media show, titledImprint: photography and the impressionable image.

Designed to put the mediums of photography and sculpture in ‘direct dialogue’, it is already shaping up to be one of this young year’s most exciting art events yet. The exhibition aims to illuminate the way photography and sculpture influence and inform each other, and will feature work from Harold Cazneaux, Horst P. Horst and the legendary snapperMax Dupain.

With works drawn from across the Gallery’s collection, it will be an insightful exploration of links between art forms most of us might not even have known existed.

Imprintkicks off on Saturday February 6 and will run through to Monday February 22. More information is available on the Art Gallery website, here.
