Good Lord! It’s Christmas! is an adult reimagining of the nativity story told through the rapidly disappearing art of pantomime, complete with singing, dancing and audience participation.
The show brings some of Sydney’s brightest comedy minds together to tear into the plot holes and implausibility of the familiar Christmas story, fleshing out everyone’s favourite Bible characters with exciting, much deserved back stories, that may or may not be factually correct… much like The Bible really.
Good Lord! It’s Christmas! doesn’t shy away when it comes to asking the hard questions like: Do you remember the part in the nativity story where the third wise man mysteriously goes missing? How Mary’s miracle pregnancy is actually an immaculately conceived web of lies? Or that the murderous King Herod has a diaper fetish and stockpile of baby oil?
