Artist Ben Quilty and musician Megan Washington have joined forces to curate a public event, Music For Mercy, in support of the two members of the Bali Nine currently facing the death penalty in Indonesia.

Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan are currently facing execution in Indonesia for their involvement in drug crimes. Music For Mercy is a candlelit vigil that will include guest speakers, musical performances, and video messages.

Musicians confirmed to appear at the show include Josh Pyke, Megan Washington, Emma Louise, Julian Hamitlon (The Presets), Glenn Richards (Augie March) and Rob Hirst (Midnight Oil).

Music For Mercy takes place at Martin Place on Thursday January 29.
