The Sydney Fringe Festival has released the massive lineup for their launch party, Fringe Ignite.

Curated by Sydney-based vocalist Ngaiire, the launch party will feature over 20 artists across nine stages – on Saturday September 2 from 4pm on Kensington St, Chippendale.

Ngaiire said of the program: “I am super pumped for this! Not only are Sydney Fringe shutting down and giving me a whole street to play with in my neighbourhood, not only do I have some cracker acts lined up for you for this year’s FRINGE IGNITE, but nearly half of these acts are POC and in my opinion part of the future of music in this country!”

Sydney Fringe CEO and Festival Director Kerri Glasscock adds: “We’re thrilled to have Ngaiire as this year’s Fringe Ignite curator, who is without doubt one of Australia’s most unique and fearless artists. She’s called in favours and brought together an incredible array of musicians, artists and performers to help us celebrate the opening of Fringe. This is not to be missed, and quite possibly the best free entry gig you’ll go to this year.”
