Hidden above the Toxteth Hotel, Glebe gem The Tate Gallery is presenting a range of artwork from Australia-based artists Ania Gareeva and Vans The Omega.

Gareeva’s exhibition Bеселая Kарусель (THE BLITHE CAROUSEL), named after a Soviet cartoon from her childhood, is a personal look at her cultural passions, inspired by childhood nostalgia and contemporary life as presented through imagined film posters, drawings and etchings.

Vans The Omega’s exhibition Into The Light will focus instead on hand-painted furniture and homewares with mixed media paintings and a limited-edition print set, featuring collaborations with East Editions, The Hours and Karton Group.

Opening night for Ania Gareeva’s exhibition will take place this Wednesday May 14 whilst Vans The Omega’s show will open on Wednesday May 21 at The Tate Gallery in Glebe.
