After capturing the world’s attention on PC and handheld devices, 2020’s surprise hit Among Us is now headed to the Nintendo Switch
There have been many great games in 2020. Some were surprising in how good they were, others were the opposite.
But there’s almost no arguing that a hypothetical “unexpected hit of the year” award will easily go to Among Us, the game that’s caused many an argument and spikes in anxiety among friendship groups.
And showing that its influence has no boundaries, it’s been announced (via Twitter) that Among Us is headed to the Nintendo Switch, meaning that it’s not just PC and handheld device owners who get to go around calling each other “sus.”
Porting Among Us to the Nintendo Switch makes perfect sense on almost every level.
The Switch is still one of the most popular consoles out there and almost everyone you know has one, which means more folks will be able to play Among Us.
Throw in the fact that the game is an incredibly social experience that involves a lot of touchscreens (yes, the Nintendo Switch has a touchscreen in case you’ve forgotten), well it is pretty much a no brainer that this is a match made in (gamer) heaven.

Based on some early feedback from those on Reddit, the Switch is a pretty damn good platform to get your finger-pointing hat on for Among Us.
That being said, apparently typing is a bit trickier since you either have to use the Joy-Cons, a pro controller, or the touchscreen. The first two options are pretty explanatory when it comes to why it’s tough to type.
The touchscreen though is surprising, but perhaps that’s because the Nintendo Switch wasn’t meant for rage-induced, rapid tapping whenever its owner is accused of being an owner.
As for when you can get it, well it’s out now so go nuts and try not to get caught venting.
