Due to overwhelming demand, comic legend Ben Elton has added additional shows to his forthcoming Australian tour. Elton will play a second show in Sydney on Saturday, April 25th and in Melbourne on Wednesday, April 29th. Tickets for this new show are set to go on sale this Friday at 11 am. This marks Elton’s first Australian tour since 2006, and it’s set to be a mighty return.

Elton began carving out his comic legacy over thirty years ago as the host of Channel 4’s seminal, Saturday Live. Since then he’s achieved success as a stand-up comic, author, playwright, actor and director. Elton has written for some of the finest comedy shows in history, including The Young Ones, Blackadder 2, Blackadder The Third, Blackadder Goes Forth, Mr. Bean and more.

Last year he penned the Kenneth Branagh’s-directed Shakespeare biopic, All Is True.

The last time I toured I was still smarter than my phone. Things have definitely taken a funny turn.”
