A day after new court documents revealed disturbing details about his abuse of Angelina Jolie and their children, Brad Pitt and his team are alleging that the actress is on a smear campaign.

As reported by TMZ, sources close to the actor told the publication that the actress wanted ‘revenge’ on Pitt. The source went on to tell TMZ that ‘despite having 50/50 custody, they believe Angelina has poisoned the kids against Brad to the point he has little to no relationship with any of them, and the victims are the entire family.’

One source was quoted saying: “[Brad now has a] ‘limited and strained relationship, because of her campaign of alienation.’”

The aforementioned sources also told TMZ that Pitt had restrained from talking about Jolie publicly ‘for the sake of their kids,’ but was ‘deeply wounded by what he believes is a vicious, unrelenting attack.’

This comes less than a day after Pitt and Jolie’s legal battle over the sale of her share of a winery co-owned by the couple intensified. A counterclaim filed by Jolie revealed disturbing details of an altercation between the couple on a plane in 2016, which she claims led to the end of their marriage.

In her account – detailed in documents obtained by CNN – Jolie claimed that Pitt had been arguing with one of their six children before the family reached the airport. When on the plane sometime later, Jolie tried to ask Pitt what was wrong, but Pitt verbally abused her.

Some time later, he ‘pulled’ her into the plane’s bathroom, ‘“grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her, and then grabbed her shoulders and shook her again before pushing her into the bathroom wall.’

Jolie’s account also stated that Pitt directed his abuse towards the children – at the time aged between eight and 15 – as well when they intervened. “Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face. Some of the children pleaded with Pitt to stop. They were all frightened. Many were crying.” the documents stated.

The FBI previously opened an investigation into the incident, but did not file any charges.

Pitt’s team outright denied the allegations made in Jolie’s counterclaim.

In a statement to CNN on Tuesday, a spokesperson for Pitt said: “(Jolie’s) story continues to evolve each time she tells it with new, unsubstantiated claims. Brad has accepted responsibility for what he did but will not for things he didn’t do. These new allegations are completely untrue.”
