Cadbury has kicked the new year off with a bang with the announcement of their Neapolitan chocolate blocks.

In what comes as delightful news for those looking to recreate the summers of their childhood, Cadbury has transformed the classic ice cream flavour into a three-layered chocolate block.

In a statement (via taste.com.au), the team at Cadbury announced: “Cadbury Dairy Milk Neapolitan is a nostalgic nod to a favourite Australian dessert and a novel take on the ice-cream classic that delivers a unique three-layered block.”

To break down the specifics, the block is made from Dairy Milk milk chocolate, Dream white chocolate and strawberry flavoured chocolate.

Much to our relief, it seems we won’t have to wait long to get our hands on a block, as they will be available in stores nationwide from this week.

The Neapolitan block is the latest in a slew of new Cadbury chocolate block flavours, which has included the likes of Birthday Cake and Hedgehog.

Of course, we can’t forget the revival of the beloved Marble block, which returned to shelves back in April after an eight-year hiatus.

2020 also saw the seemingly permanent return of the previously elusive Caramilk, which flew off the shelves when it made a comeback in 2017.

For anyone that doesn’t remember, Cadbury sold over one million units within the first few weeks of bringing Caramilk back, having originally produced the flavour back in the 1990s.

Much to the greater public’s dismay, Cadbury was forced to once again discontinue the flavour when the bar was deemed a food safety hazard off the back of a production incident.

With all this in mind, it’s safe to say we can’t wait to see what wacky flavour Cadbury has in store for us next.
