Aussie comedian Christian Hull isn’t just drawing in crowds with his jokes, he’s now doing it by, uh, guessing paint colours on TikTok.

Viral videos and trends on TikTok can basically be sorted into two categories: either they’re super dumb or they’re something that brings pure joy to those who really need it, like the skateboarding bloke sipping cranberry juice while vibing to Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Dreams’.

The latest trend that folks seem to be really keen on is guessing paint colours just before they’re professionally mixed. Apparently it’s relaxing, I dunno.

What I do know is that Aussie comedian Christian Hull jumped on this guessing paint colours schtick on TikTok and subsequently become the platform’s latest viral star.

Having caught the attention of people around the world with his viral folding T-shirt video, no one would’ve expected Hull to not only catch the lightning in a bottle a second time, but to do so while doing something as innocent as guessing paint colours.

Between the genuine effort he puts into his guesses to his hilarious exasperated reactions when his guesses are incorrect, there’s just something about his videos that’s strangely riveting.

So to try and figure this out, we decided to reach out and ask Christian Hull himself how exactly he got into this trend of guessing paint colours on TikTok.

“I stumbled onto a TikTok of two girls guessing what a final paint colour will be,” Hull tells The Brag. “I decided to play the game and became instantly hooked. It’s so fun and so addictive.”

“It’s so rewarding when you guess correctly it’s like you’ve won the lottery. I feel like I’ve become an expert but it’s just chance. I have got more wrong than right sadly.”

Having admitted that he’s coasting on the power of his guesses, Christian also reveals what he’s learned during his newfound passion as a paint colour guesser: “I have also discovered people buy such bland paint colours.”

Well there you have it folks. Best go check out Christian’s reactions because they’ll bring a smile to your face no matter what.
