Though some fans are disappointed, plenty others are happy to find Marvel is taking a different approach to the character and letting him rise to the terrifying villain that he becomes.

Unlike the previous versions that were developed by 20th Century Studios (Formerly 20th Century Fox), this will be the first Fantastic Four film to take place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Meaning Doom can wreak havoc on all its famous heroes and villains.
But it isn’t the first appearance of the Fantastic Four in the MCU, with John Krasinski appearing as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) from an alternate universe in Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness.
Though he received an overwhelmingly positive reception, it is not expected that Krasinski will reprise the role in the new film.
Fantastic Four will be directed by Matt Shakman of WandaVision and Game of Thrones fame. The film is expected to release in 2025 alongside Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Though, it is likely more films will be announced for this period soon.
The previous three films can be streamed now on Disney+
