Popping the question to your significant other is a bloody tough gig. You’ve got to worry about the location, make sure you don’t face plant when dropping a knee, and – the pièce de résistance – the all-important ring. If you have a penchant for sweating, bullets will surely be flying. But if you love your pizza almost as much as your potential life partner, then Domino’s might just have you covered.

Yes, just in time for Valentine’s Day, the restaurant chain is ready to be the cupid of your cheese dreams by offering up a one-of-a-kind engagement ring valued at over $9,000. Taking the shape of the most expensive pizza slice you’ll likely ever see, the ring itself features an 18-carat yellow and white gold base topped with diamond ‘cheese’ and ruby ‘pepperoni’. The band will also be littered with more shiny diamonds that pack a total weight of more than 1 carat.

To try your hand at winning the big prize all you need to do is record a 30-second video detailing how you would involve Domino’s in your proposal, then head here to submit it. Should you win a pizza the judges’ hearts with your talk of romantic sweet nothings, Dominos will help make your plans a reality and offer up the ring that’ll help seal the deal.

Surely this is the wedding night

According to Domino’s Chief Marketing Officer ANZ Allan Collins, pizza has a unique ability to bring people together. “How many great love stories have started over a slice? How many awkward dates have been saved by the arrival of the pizza delivery? Pizza is made to be shared with the ones we love, so this year we want to honour that with something really special and help create the greatest, if not the cheesiest, proposal ever!”

Entries close midnight February 12, but for all those happy singles, garlic bread crust is just as exciting, too.
