It’s a good time to be a Marvel fan, and if you’re not… Probably best to just get used to it, because the superhero train isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
Between Disney+ series and cinematic outings, soon there won’t be a passing week without some Marvel mayhem. So let’s have a look at the lineup:
June 8th, 2022 – Ms Marvel
Ms Marvel hits Disney+ tomorrow and will follow Kamala Khan, Marvel’s first Muslim superhero. “We’re the first show that showcases religion, school-life balance – and it’s done so seamlessly, I feel”, says Vellani, speaking with The Guardian. “That’s such a special thing I get to share with the character”.
July 8th, 2022 – Thor: Love and Thunder
The fourth solo outing for Chris Hemsworth and second outing for Director Taika Waititi sees Thor return to the futuristic 80’s mayhem of Ragnarok. However, this time Hemsworth is reunited with long lost love Jane as played by Natalie Portman. The duo will team up against Christian Bale as the sinister Gorr the God Butcher.
August 10th, 2022 – I Am Groot
Groot graces Disney+ in a series of shorts that are being kept under wraps for now. However, Gunn confirmed on Instagram that they wern’t cannon to the Guardians saga.

August 17th, 2022 – She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
Another first for the MCU, Tatiana Maslany makes her debut as She-Hulk who seems to have a much better grasp on her green alter ego then her fellow Hulk, Bruce Banner. Mark Ruffalo will also reprise his role as Bruce Banner alongside Tim Roth as Abomination who briefly appeared last year in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings after a long absence.
October 2022 – Marvel Halloween Special
The untitled one hour project will be a direct to Disney+ feature directed by Michael Giancchino, who is ironically best known for his composing on the latest trilogy of Spider-Man films and The Batman. The special has also cast Gael Garcia Bernal and Laura Donnelly in undisclosed roles.
2022 – What If? (Season 2)
Returning to Disney+ in 2022 is another deep dive into the vast animated multiverse that has been explored in latest Marvel outings. Presumably with the return of Jeffery Wright as the ominous Watcher, expect to see even more whacky alternate universes.
2022 – The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special
Another direct to Disney+ special sees the return of Chris Pratt and co as they seemingly parody the hilarious dumpster fire that is the Star Wars Holiday Special. Though not much is known at this time, Groot having Christmas lights stuck in his branches would not be a surprise.
2022 – Secret Invasion
Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos reunite alongside Emilia Clarke, Cobie Smulders, Olivia Coleman, Martin Freeman and Christopher McDonald. The series is set to adapt the much loved comic of the same name which sees Fury continue to deal with the Skrulls who have been invading the Earth… In secret (would you believe it??)
November 2022 – Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
This film will continue to follow the characters set up in the previous film. Though it will be without Chadwick Boseman in the lead role, following his untimely passing. Rumours suggest that we will see the introduction of the Sub-mariner Namor. Namor is similar to that of Aquaman, but with more sinister goals.
February 2023 – Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly return as Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne alongside newly recast Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang. As the title suggests, the film will see our heroes dive deeper into the quantum realm and will also see the reemergence of Loki’s Kang The Conqueror, as played by Jonathan Majors.
May 2023 – Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3
After the space gang are done celebrating the holidays, they return for another galactic adventure. This time, they are accompanied by the much teased Adam Warlock, played by Will Poulter. Recently announced, Maria Bakalova of Borat 2 fame has also joined the cast.

July 2023 – The Marvels
Brie Larson returns as Captain Marvel having not properly graced the screen since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. But she’s not the only ‘Marvel’ this time. Iman Vellani joins as Ms Marvel and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, who gained her powers in last year’s hit series WandaVision.
TBC – X-Men ‘97
This animated series will continue the adventures of the animated X-Men from the 90’s over on Disney+.
TBC – Spider-Man: 4 (Home Something??)
Though nothing has been confirmed as of yet, Holland and Producer Amy Pascal have heavily suggested another Spidey outing is in the works. This is not unexpected considering the continuous development of Sony/Marvel projects such as Kraven the Hunter, Madame Web and presumably Morbius 2: It’s Morbin Time

TBC – Blade
Mahershala Ali has been cast as the title character in this reboot of the Vampire killer. Made famous in the 90’s by Wesley Snipes, Blade finally joins the Marvel universe alongside lots of Vampires I’d imagine.
TBC – Loki (Season 2)
The continued infamous adventures of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. After his female version Sylvie killed He Who Remains, the multiverse was reopened and left us on a jaw dropping cliffhanger.
TBC – Captain America 4
With even more scarce details, we can only presume the film will feature Anthony Mackie as Captain America after taking on the mantle at the end of Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Potentially alongside him is Elijah Richardson as Eli Bradley (Who is destined to become Patriot) and Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier.
TBC – Deadpool 3
The long-awaited third film is finally on the horizon, the only one to survive the merger of 20th Century Fox and Disney. The creator’s have reassured fans that the merc with a mouth is keeping his naughty side and isn’t going to be Disney-fied… So Deadpool Vs. Hulk? Very bloody and lots of swearing? Yes? I think yes.
TBC – Marvel Zombies
Set to return us to the animated zombie version of the MCU that was introduced in the Disney+ series What If?
TBC – Spider-Man: Freshman Year
This animated series highlights the early days of Peter Parker as he discovers his powers and becomes Spider-Man.
TBC – The Fantastic Four
After two questionable attempts at the characters, Marvel’s first family comes home to the MCU. However, after a (spoilers) surprise appearance from John Krasinski as Mr Fantastic in Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness, it’s anyone’s guess as to what form this new interpretation will take.
TBC – Agatha: House of Harkness
Kathryn Hahn returns as the witch Agatha Harkness who claimed to being the one pulling the strings “all along” in 2021’s WandaVision
TBC – Armor Wars
This Disney+ series sees the return of Don Cheadle’s James Rhodes as he deals with Tony Stark’s tech falling into the wrong hands.
TBC – Echo
After the events of Hawkeye, Echo turns from a life of crime to vigilantism. Again, not much is known about the series, but it has been heavily hinted that this will see the proper reintroduction of Charlie Cox as Daredevil after his brief appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
TBC – IronHeart
Genius inventor Riri Williams flies onto Disney+, as played by Dominique Thorne. Williams will invent the most advanced armored suit since Iron Man.
TBC – Untitled Wakanda Series
Very early development. Allegedly sees Danai Gurira return as Okoye.
TBC – Untitled Okoye Series
Early development. This series may be the same as the Wakanda series, it is yet to be confirmed.
TBC – Daredevil
Recently announced was the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdoch. After a phenomenal 3 season run on Netflix, the man without fear will jump over to Disney+ to continue his crime fighting in Hell’s Kitchen.
TBC – Shang-Chi: 2
Disney has announced a sequel to the 2021 hit, starring Simu Liu and Awkwafina.
TBC – Shang-Chi Spin-Off Series
Disney also announced a spin-off of the film, however no details are available at the time.
TBC – NOVA
Allegedly, the writer behind Moon Knight is currently penning a series or film of the space cop Nova.
