Ken Loach’s film I, Daniel Blake, which won the coveted award for Outstanding British Film at this year’s BAFTAs, is set for release on DVD, Blu-ray and digital download in Australia. The film follows the titular character as he struggles to make ends meet in the British welfare state, encountering the single mother Katie and her two children along the way. It’s a gritty examination of class issues in the 21st century, but more than that, it’s a touching story about the everyday battle for survival.
