Cine Latino is launching its inaugural festival program of Latin American film in August. More than 30 films will showcase the bright and colourful worlds of Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Festival highlights include The Violin Teacher and Neruda (which opens the program), plus sports-focused flicks including The Football Boys and Maracanzo: The Football Legend. Palace Norton Street and Palace Verona will host the Sydney program from Tuesday August 9 – Wednesday August 31.
