Writer/director Kelly Reichardt’s latest effort, Night Moves, has captured attentions at film festivals worldwide, from the Official Selection at Toronto last year to Melbourne and Sydney this year. And for good reason – the strong cast features Jesse Eisenberg, Dakota Fanning and Peter Sarsgaard as a trio of eco activists who plan to attack a hydroelectric dam in Portland, Oregon. It’s a gripping drama that explores what happens when admirable aims are sullied along the way.
