Aidan Fennessy’s psychological thriller,The House On The Lake, will open in May.

The play recounts the story of David, a sharp criminal lawyer, who wakes up in a small room with no recollection of the previous day or how he got there. His doctor helps him coax the memories out, and reveal the details of a terrible secret.

Writer Fennessy says the play is“a chess match between two erudite, ruthless, professionals, a lawyer and a doctor, who, toe to toe, are arguing over the relative truth of two variant narratives”.

The play features a small but powerful cast of two, Jeanette Cronin and Huw Higginson, andis directed by Kim Hardwick of White Box Theatre.

The House on the Lake will play at Griffin Theatre from Friday May 22 – Saturday June 20.
