Quidditch boasts some big names in the Harry Potter franchise. But what of the characters who never played, but easily could have?

Harry Potter was a prized Seeker, meaning he could catch a winged instrument called the ‘golden snitch’ that was so cunning, it evaded capture by zipping around. But if we gave the other Potter characters a chance, they’d fly above our expectations for sure.

#1 Neville Longbottom – Keeper

This Potter character has a loyalty so fierce, he puts himself on the line, even in front of his friends. He fought in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, the Battle of the Astronomy Tower and the Battle of Hogwarts.

Quidditch would be just another battle to him.

Remember when Hermione froze him while Ron and Harry stepped over his body in the first movie? He was doing Quidditch even there. This Potter character wanted to ‘keep’ Gryffindor from losing anymore points, for goodness sake!

#2 Hermione Granger – Beater

The smartest witch of her age and fellow bestie to Harry Potter definitely has some boiling anger issues.

She got mocked for her pronounication of the ‘Wingardium Leviosa’ spell by Ron and got teased by Malfoy for being a mudblood. Quidditch would definitely release that rage, and as a beater she could definitely send some bludgers Slytherin’s way.

#3 Luna Lovegood – Seeker

At the risk of breaking canon, this Potter character was an intelligent Ravenclaw who was usually off with the fairies anyhow, so it would suit her to be on a broomstick. Plus, she was the one who found Harry trapped under the invisibility cloak on the Hogwarts Express in the Half-Blood Prince. Those Wrackspurt glasses might just help her find the Seeker, and win Quidditch after all.

#4 Lee Jordan – Chaser

This Potter character commentated Quidditch, so he has an idea of the ins and outs of the game. He had a huge crush on Gryffindor’s star chaser Angelina Johnson, and he was best friends with Potter fan favourites Fred and George Weasley. Yes, this Potter character playing Quidditch is a bit of stretch, but can you imagine him commentating his own win after getting the Quaffle between the posts?
