Convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein has tested positive for COVID-19.

As The Press-Republican report, officials at the Wende Correctional Facility in Erie County, New York, confirmed that Weinstein was one of two inmates who tested positive for the virus. Weinstein has reportedly been moved to an isolated section of the maximum-security prison.

Earlier this month Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison after being convicted of first-degree sexual assault and third-degree rape in a landmark case. Prison officials at Wende believe Weinstein contracted the virus prior to arriving at their facility last week.

Before arriving at Wende, Weinstein was moved between Rikers Island jail and Bellevue Hospital — where he was receiving treatment for chest pains. Weinstein is set to face four additional charges of rape and sexual assault in Los Angeles once deemed fit enough to re-take the stand. These charges could result in an additional 28-year prison sentence.
