With the imminent release of Jackass Forever, there’s never been a better opportunity to revisit MTV’s madcap, seminal reality tv series.
Precious childhood memories of nights spent choosing to binge watch MTV until our young, malleable brains turned into pulp over sleep. Life of Ryan into Pimp my Ride, into Punk’d, into Room Raiders. Most treasured of all MTV’s rowdy reality shows was Jackass.
The show ran for just three seasons between 2000 and 2002, though the stronghold it’s had on culture is in a class of its own. What other TV series in history has had the balls to stage a Brad Smith abduction cameo?
If you’re yearning to tap into a simpler time, and to watch young men torture themselves and each other, there are a bunch of streaming services currently streaming Jackass in its entirety.
Amazon Prime has all three seasons available to purchase, for $3.99 a pop. You can purchase the first film of the franchise, Jackass: The Movie, on Amazon Prime, Youtube, and Apple TV. Whilst Jackass Number Two, Jackass 3 and Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa are all available to stream on Stan.
The fourth installment of the film franchise, Jackass Forever, will arrive in Cinemas on October 22nd. “We’re back! A bit older and a lot grayer, but definitely not the wiser,” a post announcing the film read.
The film stars Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason “Wee Man” Acuña, Preston Lacy, Ehren McGhehey, and Dave England, alongside new cast members Sean “Poopies” McInerney, Jasper Dolphin, and Zach Holmes.

Special guest pranksters, including the likes of Eric Andre, Tony Hawk, Machine Gun Kelly and Shaquille O’Neill will also appear in the film.
Former Jackass star Bam Margera will not feature in the forthcoming film. He was reportedly fired from the project after failing to adhere to a Wellness Agreement he signed as part of the project.
In August, Margera filed a complaint with Los Angeles Superior court, against Paramount Pictures, MTV Networks, Jeff Tremaine, Johnny Knoxville, and Spike Jonze, claiming that the Jackass Forever producers violated his civil rights by forcing him to sign the Wellness Agreement, and subsequently firing him after a positive drug test.
