Imogen Anthony has discussed her relationship with Kyle Sandilands on Big Brother VIP, revealing that they “kind of grew apart.”
The model dated Sandilands for eight years, who was 19 years older than her. They first met each other at his 40th birthday party, hitting it off right away.
Anthony soon moved in with the radio personality but the end of their relationship was announced by Sandilands on his show last year.
While Anthony’s version of events has been vague, she opened up about the breakup on the latest episode of Big Brother VIP.
She admitted that she’d had a dream about her ex, and woke during the night “having a moment.” While speaking to fellow contestant Jessika Power, Anthony discussed the reasons for them growing apart.
“He was just working so much, it was just work, work, work, work, work,” she said. “I wanted to have kids, and we just kind of grew apart.
I’m thinking, like, what other choice do I have? This is the person I’ve been with for so long, of course I’m going to hang on a whim, maybe … do we get back together? All of a sudden, things were too undeniable.”

She discussed the relationship during a later visit to the diary room too, admitting that she “wanted things that he couldn’t give me.”
“Money and fame isn’t the be all and end all of life,” she said. “It’s nice, for a little while, but I want to have children that can run around with their father and not be put behind work. I want someone’s time. I’m not going to let someone else write my narrative for me.”
Sandilands had previously revealed the end of their relationship on The Kyle and Jackie O Show in 2020, stating that “it’s run its course.”
