Iris Apatow has addressed rumours surrounding the highly speculated relationship between her sister Maude Apatow and Lukas Gage.

Maude and Lukas starred in two Sam Levinson-led projects together, the hit TV show Euphoria, and the satire thriller film Assassination Nation. Rumours started floating around about their romantic involvement after fans spotted the comments sections of their respected Instagram accounts flooded with compliments to one another.

Now, Maude’s little sister, Iris, has seemingly confirmed the relationship in two Instagram stories.

In the first story, Iris posted a screenshot of an article titled, “Fans think she and Lukas Gage are dating” which features a photo of the actors together. Iris captions the image, “I can confirm!!” and added a red love heart emoji.

However, the casual and public nature of the announcement of her sister’s relationship status has many fans questioning whether she’s trolling fans. “Iris Apatow trolling Deuxmoi she’s so real,” commented one user on Twitter upon seeing the story.

Maude plays starring Euphoria character, Lexy, who is the childhood best friend of the show’s lead character Rue, who’s played by Zendaya. Lukas appeared in four episodes of season one of the show and played Tyler, a high schooler who was badly bullied by school jock, Nate Jacobs.

If the two are, in fact, dating then they won’t be the first showmance to come out of Euphoria. Hunter Schafer and Dominic Fike, who play Jules and Elliot on the show, were papped holding hands while leaving The Nice Guy in West Hollywood in January. Earlier this month, the pair seemed to soft-launch their own relationship for the world to see by posting a loved up photo on Instagram.
