An exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the late Leonard Cohen is heading to New York. The exhibition was initially presented by the Musée d’Art Contemporain de Montréal. Leonard Cohen: A Crack in Everything will be hitting the road in 2019, as COS notes.

The exhibition will first be shown at Manhattan’s Jewish Museum from April to September, it will then make its way to Copenhagen and San Francisco till 2021.

The exhibition was curated by John Zeppetelli and Victor Shiffman. It was originally developed prior to Cohen’s passing in 2016. The immersive exhibition features a 360-degree film with archive footage of Cohen’s onstage performances over his fifty year career, a video installation featuring fans renditions of Cohen’s songs and an organ that plays a different Cohen song with each key. There are also commissioned pieces from a selection of international artists.

There has been no word as to whether this tour is scheduled to tour more of the world, but we’re crossing our fingers in the hopes that it makes it’s way to Australian turf.

A poem by Leonard Cohen about Kanye West was released posthumously this year, read it here.

A Crack in Everything is set to open in New York on April 12th.
