Lizzo had some sage advice for her 14.6 million TikTok followers after she recently slid into Chris Evans’ Insta DMs.
“Don’t drink and DM, kids,” she warned fans, adding “for legal porpoises this is a joke.”
As Lizzo’s TikTok video revealed, the whole situation began when she decided to hit Evans up via Instagram, despite the fact neither of them were following each other.
Given that Evans neglected to reply quickly, it appeared that she soon regretted sending him the wind, female athlete and basketball emojis, implying she was “shooting her shot.”
“The reason I’m upset about this one is because I know I’m not going to be able to marry him,” she said in the video, alongside a screenshot of Evans’ IG profile.
“And honestly, it hurts me to the core, because damn, papa, he a rare breed! No comparing!”
However, not all hope was lost, as Lizzo revealed in a follow-up clip that Evans did eventually reply to her message.

“No shame in a drunk DM 😘,” her screenshot showed he wrote.
“God knows I’ve done worse on this app lol 🤦♂️.”
On top of that, the whole saga even led to Evans following her after all, showing that sometimes your intoxicated self knows best.
This isn’t the first time that Lizzo has publicly shown her appreciation for Evans. Back in 2019, he retweeted Lizzo after she shared a video of a little girl dancing to her song ‘Juice’.
“This kid is cooler than I could ever hope to be,” he wrote, to which Lizzo responded: “wow marry me.”
