Macca’s is treating fans this summer with yet another surprise new menu addition.

The fast food chain is turning up the heat for the hot summer months with the Cajun Chicken Deluxe.

The burger comes with a 100% Aussie chicken fillet, enticingly tangy Cajun sauce, classic cheese, fresh tomato and crispy lettuce, all served on a traditional sesame seed bun.

And considering the new burger features one of Macca’s most requested sauces, it should prove a popular menu item.

A former fan favourite menu item, Cheesy Jalapeño Pops, is returning alongside the Cajun Chicken Deluxe. Last served all the way back in 2019, the tasty snack has a crispy coating with an oozy centre, and comes accompanied by tangy El Maco dipping sauce.

They join two other new menu additions: the El Maco burger, a Mexican-style burger containing chunky salsa and sour cream, and the delicious-sounding Caramilk Hokey Pokey McFlurry dessert.

“Summer is about bringing people together and what better way to do that than by bringing together some of our most iconic menu and flavour combos?” Tim Kenward, McDonald’s Australia’s Marketing Director, said.

“We invite Aussies to kick off summer with an El Maco, Cajun Chicken Deluxe or the Cheesy Jalapeño Pops, then top it off with the McFlurry with Cadbury Caramilk Hokey Pokey. Whatever your summer plans are, we’ve got you covered, because nothing quite goes together like the great Aussie summer and Macca’s.”

The Cajun Chicken Deluxe and the other new menu items will be available from Wednesday, November 30th until January of next year, although if they prove to be popular enough they may stay longer.

You can try the Cajun Chicken deluxe at Macca’s restaurants nationwide and via McDelivery for a limited time only.
