The Neighbours finale just keeps getting better. Barbie herself, Margot Robbie, is returning for the last-ever episode, it’s been revealed.
Robbie previously starred on the soap as teenager Donna Freedman between 2008 and 2011, before making it in Hollywood just a couple of years later with her breakout turn in The Wolf of Wall Street.
As per Deadline, the actress is now going back to where it all started. Robbie has reportedly already filmed her appearance in the finale from Los Angeles, joining a growing list of former Neighbours stars returning for the show’s farewell.
‘Torn’ singer Natalie Imbruglia and fellow singer Holly Valance are also set to appear, with both recently filming scenes in London. Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue may be the returning stars fans are most eager to see, with the pair becoming icons for their roles as Scott and Charlene back in the show’s heyday.
Kylie recently opened up about her return to the soap, noting it was “sweet” to be reunited with her on-screen love interest – and ex boyfriend – Donovan.
“I wanted to be reminded of being that 19-year-old again when I would get into my Datsun and fang it to Vermont South or the Network Ten studios at Nunawading [in Melbourne where the show is filmed],” Kylie said. “It was very sweet to be with Jason and to think, ‘Wow, we’re still around’.”
Veteran Neighbours actor Ryan Moloney, who plays Jarrod ‘Toadfish’ Rebecchi, also revealed that saying his final line in the soap left him “heartbroken” and in tears.

“This might sound corny, but knowing what’s in the finale, I’d have to say (as a fan) I’d be pretty happy with it,” he said about his final line. “The last line that I got to say is so poignant, that as soon as I read it, I burst into tears. It was like, ‘”Oh my God, how amazing this is my last line?’”
