The James Corden hate mail just writes itself – this time, it’s Mel B who has called out the late-night host on his behaviour.

James Corden may have created a scene at Balthazar over some eggs, but there’s plenty of celebs who are calling him a rotten one. The latest, of course, is Mel B, who has called out the late-night show host for his behaviour.

During an appearance on Britain’s The Big Narstie Show, Mel B was asked to name some of the worst celebrities she’d ever met in Hollywood. And while she named a couple of people, she had some points to make about Corden in particular. “So, there’s a few. James Corden, Geri Halliwell, Jessie J and me.”

While she was poking fun at Halliwell – claiming that her fellow Spice Girl could be ‘really fucking annoying’ – her comments about Corden seemed to mirror that restaurateur Keith McNally, owner of Balthazar.

“I think you always have to be nice to the people that you work with — whether it be production, camera guys, sound, lighting,” she said. “We all work for the same thing, so you should always be nice, and he hasn’t been very nice.”

Back in October, McNally banned Corden from Balthazar New York, claiming that the TV personality had been abusive towards staff members in the establishment.

While he later retracted the ban once Corden reached out and apologised, he backtracked thanks to an interview in The New York Times a few days later. In the interview, Corden claimed he hadn’t done ‘anything wrong’.

“When James Corden said in yesterday’s NY Times that he hadn’t done ‘anything wrong, on any level,’ was he joking? Or was he denying being abusive to my servers? Whatever Corden meant, his implication was clear: he didn’t do it.” McNally wrote in an Instagram post.

He later declared that he would Corden dine at Balthazar for free for the next decade if he only apologised to the staff. “If he goes one step further and apologises to the 2 servers he insulted, I’ll let him eat for free at Balthazar for the next 10 years.”
