One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has been crowned this year’s Mother of the Year by a Christian organisation called ‘Family Voice’.

Hanson is a mother to four children; Steven, Tony, Adam and Lee and has worked in politics since 1994. She’s widely considered a controversial politician, largely because her political party, One Nation, railed against government immigration and multicultural policies.

Regardless, the group crowned Hanson Mother of the Year for 2022, dubbing her a “worthy recipient, given her commitment to family and the community and indeed Australia as a member of federal parliament.”

The Daily Telegraph stated that Hanson didn’t know she was nominated for the award, but felt “very honoured” for the accolade.

“You’re never over being a mother until the day that you die,” Hanson said.

“The children may be adults but they come to you for guidance and advice and support they need throughout their lives.”

It’s the first year that Christian organisation called ‘Family Voice’ has been in charge of the award, it was previously handed out by children’s charity Barnardo’s.

“Barnardo’s has unfortunately fallen victim to the woke and cancel culture ideology being forced upon corporate Australia. Can I just repeat the well-known tag line: ‘Go Woke Go Broke’,” NSW Director of Family Voice Greg Bondar told The Daily Telegraph while explaining who Family Voice took over the responsibility of the away.

“When we reviewed the nominations, the panel wanted to identify mothers who supported women and how mothers can make a positive impact at home, work, community, church and in the family.”

Last year, while the award was still under the control of Barnado’s, it was given to Leila Abdallah, a woman who lost three of her children after a driver who was drunk and on drugs hit them.
