Seth Rogen recently sat down with GQ for one lengthy and juicy interview, talking on many Hollywood topics, including one involving Nicolas Cage.

According to Seth Rogen, Cage suspects that James Franco actually riffed off his character, which appeared in the 2012 movie, Spring Breakers.

Further to the statement, Cage reportedly believes that Franco’s portrayal of the cornrowed drug dealing rapper, Alien was allegedly originally Cage’s idea, which he believes he personally pitched for Rogen’s movie, The Green Hornet.

During the interview with GQRogen mentions that he had spoken to Cage about the character, described as “a bald man, with tattooed hair, large prosthetic lips and a voice like Edward G Robinson.” However, Cage was supposedly only interested in the playing the role as a “white Bahamian” with a thick Caribbean accent.

When Rogen is asked on the topic, he responds, “The second part actually just happened before the pandemic. I mean, he already doesn’t like me, is the point. So he’ll continue not to like me!”

From the same GQ interview, Rogen is also asked about one scene in particular from the movie This Is The End, which sees characters Danny McBride and Channing Tatum in that cannibal, leashed up situation. The interviewer goes on to ask Rogen about the reasons behind Emma Watson refusing to be a part of the scene.

Rogen replies, “I mean, I don’t look back on that and think, ‘How dare she do that?’ You know? I think sometimes when you read something, when it comes to life it doesn’t seem to be what you thought it was. But it was not some terrible ending to our relationship.”

He continues, “She came back the next day to say goodbye. She helped promote the film. No hard feelings and I couldn’t be happier with how the film turned out in the end.”

And he adds, “She was probably right. It was probably funnier the way we ended up doing it.”
