Noodle, the pug who went viral on TikTok for his ‘bones’ and ‘no bones’ daily mood predictions, has died at the age of 14.

The pug, who went viral for his daily ‘bones’ test, died on Friday.

“I’m so sorry to have to share this, but Noodle passed yesterday,” owner Jonathan Graziano tearfully told fans in a video. “He was at home, he was in my arms, and this is incredibly sad… It’s a day I always knew was coming but never thought would arrive.”

It has been the privilege of my life to care for Noodle these past 7 years. The sweetest man there has ever been and will ever be. ❤️

Noodle’s daily ‘bones’ test – in which Graziano lifted the floppy pooch to see if he remained standing (a “bones day”) or plopped back down (a “no bones day”) – made the duo famous as the terms made their way into internet vernacular.

People across TikTok and other forms of social media used Noodle’s daily predictions as a forecast for how their own day would go.

In his minute-long announcement, Graziano encouraged Noodle’s fans to celebrate him.

“He lived 14-and-a-half years, which is about as long as you can hope a dog can,” he said. “And he made millions of people happy. What a run.”

Graziano turned the viral videos into a children’s book, “Noodle and the No Bones Day,” which became an instant bestseller when it was released earlier this year.

There is also a range of Noodle merchandise.

Since adopting Noodle in 2016, Graziano has drawn more than 272,000 followers to the pup’s Instagram account, @showmenoodz, and 4.4 million followers to his own TikTok account, @jongraz.

“It has been the privilege of my life to care for Noodle these past 7 years,” Graziano wrote on the TikTok announcement. “The sweetest man there has ever been and will ever be.”

Just days ago, a video of Noodle walking around the city drew 2.3 million views.

“Noodle just walked an entire city block,” Graziano said in the video. “He hasn’t done it since like 2020, so we are officially having a bones evening.”
