Just when you thought 2020 couldn’t get any crazier, it’s time to dust off the tinfoil hat because the Pentagon has now declassified and released footage from US Navy pilots in what appears to be a UFO encounter.

The short clips were recorded during training flights in 2004 and 2015, and show several unidentified objects moving rapidly as the passengers marvel at their speed, while another speculates that it could be a drone.

According to a statement on the Department of Defense website, the videos were released “to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos.

“After a thorough review, the department has determined that the authorised release of these unclassified videos does not reveal any sensitive capabilities or systems, and does not impinge on any subsequent investigations of military air space incursions by unidentified aerial phenomena,” the statement said.

The statement said that the strange footage had been “circulating in the public domain after unauthorised releases”, which is in reference to the New York Times leaking two of the clips in 2017, however, they added that “the aerial phenomena observed in the videos remain characterised as ‘unidentified’”. Spooky!

What’s even spookier is that that the third clip was actually released by To The Stars Academy of Arts & Sciences, which was founded by Blink-182 Tom DeLonge that “studies information about unidentified aerial phenomena”.

Upon news of the clips release, Delonge took to Twitter to acknowledge his groups achievement in having the videos released, saying:

“With today’s events and articles on my and @TTSAcademy’s efforts to get the US Gov to start the grand conversation, I want to thank every shareholder at To The Stars for believing in us,” he said, adding, “Next, we plan on pursuing the technology, finding more answers and telling the stories.”

So what are your thoughts, are we alone in the universe?
