Kim Kardashian is coming under fire from animal rights activists and PETA after uploading then swiftly deleting a video to the TikTok account she shares with daughter North.

The video – which was saved and reposted by another TikTok user – appears to show the Skims founder’s two Pomeranians, Sushi and Sake, being kept in a small pen their sprawling mansion’s garage with the caption “Christmas time for the dogs”.

“I wonder why they deleted it,” celeb news account @needthedeets captioned the clip.

“This video was deleted from North’s account. Is it because Kim Kardashian doesn’t want people to think they keep their dogs in the garage?” they added.

Animal advocacy group PETA told Page Six they were “hoping hard” that the reality star has alternative arrangements for the dogs.

“Knowing that Kim Kardashian is anti-fur and mostly vegan, we are hoping hard that she does not relegate her dogs to life in a garage,” PETA senior vice president Lisa Lange said.

“What PETA does know is that dogs are highly social pack animals who need more than just soft beds and decorative stockings: They deserve to feel safe, loved, and to live inside the house as part of the family.”

Kim Kardashian first adopted one of the pups with sister Kourtney in 2017, as documented on the family’s reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Kourtney’s dog, Honey, was the better-behaved pooch, which led to Kim enlisting the help of celebrity dog behaviouralist Cesar Milan.

Fans have been concerned about the dogs for a while though, as they were last seen on Kardashian’s Instagram last year with her daughter, North West.

The family has come under fire for their apparently “missing” pets before.

Back in 2020, fans questioned Kourtney Kardashian on the whereabouts of her Pomeranian Honey and Labrador Cubs, after she “debuted” a brand-new puppy called Ruby on Instagram.

I Heart Dogs did an investigation into the disappearing dogs phenomenon, stating that “throughout the years, the Kardashians have had approximately 40 different animals in their homes” and that “most of them only made a few appearances on social media and on the show.”

The outrage comes just days after Kardashian spoke about the difficulties of co-parenting with ex-husband Kanye West.
