Following four generations of Jewish women, My Mother And OtherCatastrophes, written byRivka Hartman, will arrive in Sydney as achoreographed reading with dance and film projection.

Promising both laughter and tears, this black comedy is the story of four generations of Jewish women in Australia, the matriarch of whom is a 116-year-old Auschwitz survivor, undiminished by her suffering and dysfunctional progeny.

The cast includes Elaine Hudson (A Streetcar Named Desire),Anne Tenney (A Country Practice), Florette Cohen (Our Town, Lights! Camera! Chaos!), John Grinston (I, Spry, Chess),Madeleine Withington (Antigone) and Taylor Owynns as narrator.

Pop Up Theatre will present four shows in Sydney, at the Sydney Jewish Museum on Saturday March 7 and Saturday March 14 and Glebebooks on Sunday March 8 and Sunday March 15.
