From tortoiseshells to tabbies, and calicos, too, you can find a multitude of feline friends throughout the history of film. With Lion King seeming to top the charts for being the most kitty friendly movie, other iconic rolls include the Cheshire cat in Alice And Wonderland, Don Corleone’s feline in The Godfather, The Pink Panther in his self-titled film, and the hairless Sphynx of Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me – Mr. Bigglesworth.

With fuzzy felines to cantankerous kittens scampering across the screens, there are multiple movies that have these mousers in their list of characters. Even though cats are rumoured to always fall on their feet, some films featuring cats seem to flop, as many people have questioned the newest film rendition of Cats.

However, despite some kittens getting off on the wrong foot, other films like Disney’s The Aristocats and Oliver And Company saw widespread success.
