The Canadian trio will embark on their 16th tour of Australia.
Since their inception, The Tea Party has used a range of electic instruments such as the oud, sitar, hurdy gurdy and theremin to spice up the distinct brand of hard rock the members have been peddling for decades.
The band first gained fans in Australia in 1995 when their second album, The Edges Of Twilight, was championed by triple j, providing them with their first top ten record down under.
Now the band are set to tour with a full string section, provided by the Sydney Youth Orchestra. The Orchestra is the premiere orchestral training provider in NSW, and musicians associated with the organisation have played as part of Vivid Festival, Carols in the Domain and the BBC Proms Festival in Melbourne.
The Tea Party and Sydney Youth Orchestra will play together on Friday April 21 at The Star.Tickets are availableherefrom Thursday December 15 from 10 am.
