When it comes to reality TV dating shows, The Bachelor franchise is undoubtedly the cream of the crop.
The Bachelor Australia kicked off with an impressive start – when viewers saw Bachelor Tim Robards fall for beautiful barrister Anna Heinrich, who’d never had a boyfriend before.
Throughout the nine seasons of The Bachelor Australia, and seven seasons of The Bachelorette Australia, there are six couples who remain together today.
With the new season of premiering tonight on 9Now, we thought we’d take a look back at the couples who met on the reality TV show and are still together to this day.
Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich (The Bachelor season one)
Tim Robards and Anna Heinrich met on season one of The Bachelor, and it was fairly evident from day one that Anna would end up being Tim’s final pick. Now, nine years later, the couple are married and have a young daughter, Elle Robards.

Sam Wood and Snezana Markoski (The Bachelor season three)
Sam fell for single mum-of-one Snezana Markoski early on in his The Bachelor journey. In fact, the spark between them was so strong that production reportedly delete scenes with her in them so that the ending wasn’t given away too early. Since receiving Sam’s final rose, the couple have wed in a beautiful Byron Bay ceremony and have welcomed three daughters together.
Matty J and Laura Byrne (The Bachelor season five)
Matty J is arguably the most popular The Bachelor Australia lead. With his good looks and cheeky sense of humour, he managed to score his dream woman, Laura Byrne, who he recently married. The couple shares two daughters, and both have lucrative careers in the media as a result of the show.
Locky Gilbert and Irena Srbinovska (The Bachelor season eight)
Locky’s final pick, Irena, was famously embroiled in a cat fight with her closest co-star – and fellow two finalist – Bella Varelis. While Irena and Bella were close friends at the beginning of the season, when the women came back after a COVID related break and Bella found out that Irena and Locky had been speaking a lot, the women had a falling out.
Locky ultimately chose Irena, and she and Bella are no longer friends. Since the show’s finale, Locky and Irena have gotten engaged and relocated to Perth together.
Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston (The Bachelor season nine)
Jimmy and Holly met on the most recent season of The Bachelor, which aired in 2021. They announced their engagement in August last year, revealing that Jimmy proposed during a lavish trip to Sorrento, Italy.
The couple came under fire for slamming OnlyFans creators, with Jimmy insisting it was “a load of sh*t” when creators claimed they use the platform to “empower” themselves.
Georgia Love and Lee Elliott (The Bachelorette season two)
Georgia Love unforgettably turned down Australia’s sweetheart Matty J, to give Lee Elliot her final rose. Admittedly, it appears to be the right choice, as Matty went on to become The Bachelor and find love with Laura Byrne while Georgia ended up marrying Lee.
