The Bachelor stars Jimmy Nicholson and Holly Kingston have announced their engagement over the weekend.

In a new interview with Stellar, the pair revealed that Jimmy had proposed to his longtime girlfriend during a lavish trip to Sorrento, Italy.

According to the former Bachelor, he had been planning the engagement over the course of six months, which included a full day of romantic gestures before he got down on one knee.

Speaking of purchasing a diamond engagement ring for Holly from Sydney’s Cerrone jewellers, Jimmy revealed that he attempted to go incognito so that he wasn’t spotted.

“I went in with my sister, I had a mask, sunnies and a hat on,” he explained.

“They opened the store up early for us. I just didn’t want to risk anyone leaking [the proposal plans] or anything.”

As for when the loved-up pair hope to tie the knot, they revealed they hope to celebrate their wedding next year and start a family.

“I’m 33 in a couple of months. I’d say we will certainly start trying [to start a family] after the honeymoon,” Jimmy added.

The pair had recently made headlines after their controversial comments about OnlyFans, with Jimmy saying that “a load of sh*t” when creators claimed they use the platform to “empower” themselves.

The comments lead to backlash from fellow reality stars, including Abbie Chatfield, who pointed out that using their fame for sponsorship deals was no different and that they had come across as “slut shamey” and “the opposite of progression.”

“Basically, what you’re saying is, ‘no judgement, but like if you do this — no good. You’ve just leveraged off your reality TV experience’. Which is exactly what all of us have f**king done,” Abbie blasted.

She continued by noting that she was “uncomfortable” with Jimmy in particular, with sex work marginalising women, queer people, trans people, non-binary individuals, and people of colour. “All you had to say was ‘it’s not for us, but all the power to you’,” she bemoaned.

Abbie’s Instagram Stories didn’t lead to any realisation on the couple’s part. Abbie returned later to reveal to her fans that Jimmy had actually called her about her callout. After a “long seven-minute conversation,” no impasse was reached, with Jimmy allegedly doubling down on his position and calling Abbie “aggressive.”

Abbie has since unfollowed both Holly and Jimmy on Instagram.
